Catherine provides psychological assessments and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and trauma. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapies in her clinical work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and is an Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) accredited practitioner and supervisor. She has a specialist interest in trauma and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Prolonged Exposure (PE).
Catherine previously worked for several years in the aviation industry and holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology. She later went on to undertake her D.Psych in Counselling Psychology in 2009 and has worked in clinical settings since then. She has had a wide variety of experience working in Adult Mental Health settings in the NHS, including clinical health, pain management and a specialist trauma service. She has also had extensive experience working in Employee Assistance (EAP) within the private sector, providing therapy, consultancy and clinical assessments. Catherine is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and registered with HCPC.
