Emily works together with her clients to explore their unique issues and tailors her intervention to the needs of each person. To do this, she draws on various therapeutic approaches, such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Play Therapy and Person-Centred Therapy.
Emily also contributes to teaching at Glasgow Caledonian University as occasional lecturer, covering topics such as trauma, social exclusion, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Emily is Chair of the British Psychological Society’s Division of Counselling Psychology Scotland.
