New online young people’s service

July 9, 2024

Mental health is a big deal for young people.

1 in 6 children aged five to sixteen in the UK were identified as having a probable mental health problem in July 2020.

Just over 1 in 3 children and young people with a diagnosable mental health condition get access to NHS care and treatment (Mental Health Statistics UK | Young People | YoungMinds)

More support is needed.

NEW ONLINE YOUNG PEOPLE'S SERVICE

The Keil Centre understands that mental health support for young people is more important than ever with long NHS waiting times and uncertainty about how to access support elsewhere. We have been working hard behind the scenes to expand our service and to make it easier for young people to get the right help, from experienced psychologists, sooner. We are also delighted to welcome a new educational and child psychologist, Dr Samantha Weld-Blundell, who joined our clinical and counselling psychology team in May 2024.

Samantha is an experienced psychologist who works with children and young people (age 6 – 25) with a wide range of problems, as well as working with parents and educators. She is passionate about delivering accessible psychology to young people, and working online allows Samantha to extend mental health support to a geographically wider range of young people.

Samantha is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP).

To book an appointment with Samantha, please contact The Keil Centre on 0131 229 6140 or email clinical@keilcentre.co.uk
