Eimear graduated with an M.A Hons in Psychology from the University of St. Andrews in 2006. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Edinburgh during which time she specialised in adult mental health. She has completed and published doctoral research examining the emotional impact of trauma.
Eimear has previously worked in an NHS adult mental health service, a specialist eating disorders service, an occupational health setting and a clinical health specialist pain management service.
Eimear provides psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment for adults. She is trained in various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is also experienced in applying Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy as well as compassion focused approaches. She has a particular interest in working with people living with or adjusting to physical health problems.
