Janette Edmonds

Director & Chartered Ergonomics and Human Factors Specialist

Janette has an academic background in psychology and ergonomics. She began her practitioner career in 1994, and since then has gained experience within a wide range of industries including chemical processing, oil and gas, transport systems, manufacturing and production, consumer product design, emergency services, defence, and other applications.

Janette specialises in human factors in engineering and design, human factors in incident investigation, human error analysis, human factors in procedure development and safety culture assessment. Janette is the course director for the IChemE’s Human Factors in Health & Safety programme (in UK & Europe).

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (FIEHF) and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH). In 1999 she was presented with the William F Floyd Award for an outstanding contribution to ergonomics.
