Clinical & Counselling Appointments

Some description

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from GP’s and Company HR / Occupational Health departments. If you have private healthcare, our Psychologists are registered with all the major healthcare providers.

Appointments last for 1 hour with the face-to-face consultation being 50 minutes. We can offer a variety of appointment times during the week, including evening appointments on a Thursday. In some circumstances we may be able to offer Skype or telephone appointments.

At the end of the initial assessment, the Psychologist will advise what treatment they can offer for your particular circumstances and will explain how treatment works and the benefits you will gain from it. If you are happy to proceed with the proposed treatment plan they will also give an indication of how many appointments may be required and discuss their frequency with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

We will be able to offer you an initial assessment within 7 working days.

How do I pay with private healthcare cover?

We will ask you at the time of referral to provide us with a claim reference from your insurance company and we will then invoice them directly as and when you attend.  Any excess that your policy may carry will be due directly from you to The Keil Centre.

Do I have to commit to a course of treatment?

The Psychologist will give their recommendations at the end of your initial assessment.  There is no obligation on your part to commit to this.

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?

Our cancellation policy is that if you need to cancel or change an appointment, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice.  If less than this is given there will be a 50% charge of the session rate.  We will charge the full session rate for a non-attendance.

Will anyone else find out that I’m attending therapy?

Your confidentiality is of utmost importance to us and will be discussed with you by your Psychologist at the initial assessment.  We will not pass on any of your contact details or appointment information without your prior consent.

How do I choose the right Psychologist for my needs?

All our Psychologists are highly experienced in a wide range of issues.  Please check their details on our profile page and do not hesitate to contact us for further information or advice.
